Environmental, Health and Safety

Core Beliefs:

In the fast-evolving world of plastics manufacturing, environmental sustainability, health and safety are not merely regulatory requirements—they are central tenets that guide every operation and decision within the facility. At Sanko Gosei Technologies USA Inc (STU) we responsibly view these principles as integral to success, innovation, and long-term viability. Please, take the time to explore our core beliefs that shape the approach of Sanko Gosei Technologies USA Inc toward environmental, health, and safety concerns.

1. Health and Safety: The Priority of People

Sanko Gosei Technologies USA Inc is fully aware that its workforce is our most valued asset. The health and safety of its associates, contractors, and visitors are paramount. This belief drives the implementation of strict safety protocols and the continuous improvement of health and safety standards.

Employee Well-Being: At Sanko Gosei Technologies USA Inc we believe that all employees, regardless of their role, deserve to work in a safe and healthy environment. From proper ergonomics to access to personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring that all associates are well-supported. Safety training is an ever growing and key component of our culture, and regular drills and workshops help reinforce safe practices. Even within the strongest of safety programs, accidents can still occur. We have the ability to provide an appropriate level of First Aid, CPR/AED care with well positioned associates that have completed accredited training in these areas. Sanko Gosei Technologies USA Inc will soon house our own Emergency Response Team with capabilities in Fire Suppression, Spill Response and Incident Management.

Risk Prevention and Hazard Mitigation: STU recognizes the inherent risks involved in plastics manufacturing processes, such as exposure to chemicals, high temperatures, and mechanical equipment. To mitigate these risks, the STU Leadership and EHS Manager employs a comprehensive hazard analysis system and routinely updates safety protocols to address new challenges. The focus is on proactive safety measures—identifying potential hazards before they become issues.

Mental and Emotional Health: In addition to physical safety, the facility values the mental well-being of its associates. It fosters a supportive work environment, where open communication about stress, workload, and work-life balance is encouraged. Health initiatives such as employee wellness programs, are incorporated into the overall approach to workplace safety. Some of these initiatives include reimbursement for entry fees associated with fitness events, an Employee Assistance Program as well as maintaining a tobacco free facility.

2. Compliance and Continuous Improvement

Adherence to local, national, and international environmental, health, and safety standards is non-negotiable. We are committed to meeting all relevant regulations and strives to go above and beyond compliance to set a higher standard for us.

Regulatory Adherence: STU stays up to date with the latest environmental and safety regulations and ensures compliance with bodies like OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards. Routine self-audits and assessments ensure that any new or evolving regulations are incorporated into STU’s operational practices without delay.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation: STU believes in a culture of continuous improvement. Environmental sustainability, health, and safety are never static; there is always room for improvement and enhancement. STU constantly seeks to innovate, whether through technological advancements in production or by implementing new safety features to further reduce risks. Employee feedback, industry best practices, and ongoing research are critical components in STU’s pursuit of excellence.

3. Commitment to Environmental Stewardship

STU believes that its impact on the planet should be minimal, and this starts with efficient production practices that reduce waste and energy consumption.

Waste Reduction and Recycling: One of the primary beliefs is the reduction of plastic waste at all stages of production. This involves maximizing the use of raw materials and investing in recycling technologies. By implementing systems to reclaim and recycle plastic waste, STU ensures that less material ends up in landfills or the environment.

Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Practices: Another cornerstone is advanced technologies, such as automated systems and energy-efficient machinery to optimize energy consumption and lower carbon footprint.

4. Collaboration and Accountability

STU believes in fostering collaboration between ALL departments and stakeholders to ensure that environmental, health, and safety goals are met. Communication between production teams, EHS Manager and STU Leadership is essential for the identification of potential hazards, the development of safety protocols, and the implementation of sustainable practices.

Stakeholder Engagement: In addition to internal collaboration, the facility also works closely with external stakeholders, including regulators and the community. By engaging in transparent dialogue about STU’s environmental and safety practices, the facility builds trust and accountability among its partners.

Employee Accountability: Employees are empowered and encouraged to take responsibility for their actions and safety. A strong culture of accountability ensures that everyone—from operators to senior managers—understands their role in maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible workplace. Safety audits and environmental impact assessments are regularly conducted, with feedback from employees used to further enhance operations.

Conclusion

STU’s core beliefs on environmental, health, and safety reflect its deep commitment to creating a sustainable and safe working environment for its associates, while minimizing its impact on the planet. By prioritizing responsible production practices, complying with regulations, continuously improving operations, and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability, STU strives to stand as an example of how the plastics industry can evolve to meet the needs of both people and the environment.

Through these beliefs, STU ensures that it remains a responsible, forward-thinking organization—one that not only meets the demands of today but also prepares for a better, more sustainable tomorrow.
